Ear Plugs

Great for use when going to concerts or dance clubs, ear plugs are easy to carry in purse or pocket and easy to use. Did you know that when ear plugs are used at a concert the music and lyrics actually sound better? This is because if the ears are not protected the loud music will send the inner hair cells into over-drive mode and they will distort the incoming sound. These inner hair cells are simply are no match for the hazards of loud noise.

It may take a little practice to get the plugs in just right, but once you get the hang of it, and wear them for a while, you might even forget they are there. Use them whenever you are around loud noise. Your ears will thank you for it.

Formable Ear Plugs

Show your personality with a little colour! These are fun, funky, and ready to rock-n-roll. When inserted properly they will block out dangerous noise, letting you party all night long. And, the music will sound better than ever.

It takes two hands to put these into place:

  • Roll the earplug down just as small as you can get it.
  • Roll it until your fingers hurt!
  • Keep rolling it a little bit more! Now that it is really, really small, take your opposite hand and cross it over your head to grasp the top of your ear. Pull your ear slightly upward and backward to straighten the ear canal.
  • Insert the earplug as deep into your ear as you can possibly get it. It will then expand and fill your ear canal.

Pre-molded Ear Plugs

These plugs are made of a rubbery/silicone material. The flanges are soft and these plugs are easy to insert. There are lots of shapes, sizes, and colours, so experiment and see what style fits your ears the best. They can be washed with mild soap and water so they can be reused again (once they are good and dry, of course!).

Like the formable earplugs above, these take two hands to insert.

  • First, take your opposite hand and cross it over your head to grasp the top of your ear.
  • Pull your ear slightly upward and backward to straighten the ear canal.
  • Insert the earplug as deep into your ear as you can possibly get it. Your ear should feel full and plugged up, but not uncomfortable or painful.
